It Takes a Village

The Habitat for Humanity model is the best example of It Takes a Village. A village is more than the people who live there. It is the connections and care we have for our neighbors. A village is home, a place to call your own. It is a community to come together to create a house and a village to welcome a new family to the neighborhood. Thank you to the Great Barrington Selectboard who trusted the Affordable Housing Trust Fund by turning over a charming but tired house. We are grateful to the Habitat staff, volunteers, and the many tradespeople who have worked to bring a wonderful house back to life. The community has embraced the Butler-Green family and, together, we welcome them as part of the fabric that make our area such a great place to live.
